Kalpitiya is a remote peninsula on Sri Lanka’s north-western coast, stretching into the Puttalam Lagoon and surrounded by some of the finest kitesurfing conditions in Asia. Between May and October, the steady trade winds draw international kite surfers to its wide lagoon, while the winter months bring one of the world’s largest aggregations of spinner dolphins just offshore.
